Run Course

The run course is compact using the running trails of the Anderson Civic Center as your start.  You will run on pavement, running trails and part of a cross-country team’s dirt trail through the woods, before returning to pavement.

The Olympic Rev will climb to the Anderson balloon water tower and loop the balloon field – NOTE: You will run the balloon field in a counter-clockwise direction, make a U-TURN, and run the balloon in a clockwise direction, before exiting across the road and making your way back to the Civic Center.  You will cross straight @ Martin Luther King Blvd, turning right onto Johnny Mathes Blvd for your run to the finish line.

Overview:

Anderson, SC is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains on the shores of beautiful Lake Hartwell in an area commonly known as “The Upstate”.  Anderson is within a two hour drive of two major metropolitan areas – Atlanta, GA and Charlotte, NC. Lake Hartwell, the location for the swims is one of the largest and most popular recreation lakes in the southeast, and is home to a number of state parks, public campgrounds, boat ramps and marinas.  Anderson County has it all, history, heritage, cultural attractions, agri-tourism, outdoor and adventure.  Whatever your interests are – you will be able to experience them in the quaint charm of a historic towns surrounded by true “Southern Hospitality”
