Is the swim a mass start?
No. It is a wave start. Waves will be determined by the number of athletes in each age division.
Are we starting in the water?
No. Athletes will start from the beach.
Where will the aid stations be and what will be available?
Aid stations are approximately a mile apart on the run and every 15 miles on the bike. Nutrition available will be determined by Sponsor and updated accordingly. Water on the run will be served in plastic baggies. Just bite the end and drink (a Costa Rican tradition).
What is the latest date that I can withdraw and still get a partial refund?
All withdrawal/policy information is available under the general race information tab.
Will there be relays?
Yes, refer to the registration site for details.
Which Age group will I race in on race day?
Age Groups are generally every 5 years with the exceptions of kids.
What is the schedule of events race week?

Do we have to check in our bikes before race day?
Yes. Bikes will be checked in Friday March 16th between 2pm – 6pm (Saturday races ONLY) and Saturday March 17th between 2pm – 6pm.
Are disk wheels allowed?

No, the water will be approximately 80 degrees F.
Will drafting be allowed on the bike?
No, this is a non-drafting race and will be monitored by race marshals.
