The swim will take place along the beach in the Gulf of Mexico just north of Sharky’s On the Pier. Athletes will swim along a well-supported 75 yard buoy to buoy course.
The athletes ages 6-9 will swim a 75 yard swim (one length) = from south buoy to north buoy and then exit. (Athletes will swim on the west or open water side of the buoy line)
The athletes ages 10-14 will swim a 150 yard swim (two lengths) = from north buoy to south buoy and back then exit. (Athletes will start on the east or beach side of the buoy line then return on the west or open water side.)
The bike is a 2 Mile loop that kids ages 6-9 will do once and kids ages 10-14 will do 2 times. Athletes will turn left onto Harbor Dr. S. then right on Beach Rd. to the turnaround and back. To continue onto the second loop athletes will turn back into the Sharky’s parking lot and stay left for a U-turn in front of the Transition Area. To finish turn right into Sharky’s parking lot then stay right to the dismount line.
The Bike Course will be marked with PINK duct tape arrows on the ground.

- Athletes Ages 6-9 will do 1 Loop
- Athletes Ages 10-13 will do 2 Loops
The Run will be a .75 mile run for the 6-9 year old athletes and a 1.4 Mile run for the 10-14 year old athletes. Athletes will leave transition and begin south before a right turn which takes athletes along the Sharky’s waterfront toward an incredible out and back on Sharky’s Pier, above the Gulf of Mexico. Upon exiting the pier to the left, the course takes a right turn through the center of the Sharky’s new main entrance. Athletes then turn right to continue south to Maxine Barritt Park and where the course takes a left just after entering the park. Athletes continue along the winding walkways and along the eastern side of the lake. Near the southeastern corner of the lake, Jr.’s will turn left & then another quick left again to the finish. Sr.’s will continue to wind counterclockwise around the lake one more time before taking the same left to finish. The run course will be marked with ORANGE duct tape arrows on the ground.
