Be ready for some fun on the run! You will begin your run by heading out of transition and turning onto Neyland Drive. You will take Neyland Drive onto the paved Knoxville Greenway Trails. This will be a nice flat and fast stretch with a little bit of shade. You will pass the Knoxville Rugby fields and then head into Tyson’s park. If you are doing the Olympic you will hit the park and then head back home for this flat and fast out and back.

The Half  Rev will continue on the Greenway and then around mile 3.9 you will head up your first big climb for the run into Sequoya Hills neighborhood. Your next hill will be a short but steep one around mile 4.6. You will run on Cherokee Blvd here you will have a nice descent as you cruise into mile 6. You will turn around at the bottom of Cherokee Blvd and then head on back. Be ready for your last hill around mile 7.6. You will follow the same path back to Neyland Drive and then head to the finish line where all your friends and family will be waiting to cheer you into your big finish!

Run Course Markings:

The Olympic Run course will be marked with YELLOW signs and YELLOW duct tape arrows on the ground.  There will be a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground before every turn and then a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground after every turn.

The Half  Run course will be marked with ORANGE signs and ORANGE duct tape arrows on the ground.  There will be a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground before every turn and then a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground after every turn.

The Championship course will be marked with WHITE signed and WHITE duct tape arrows on the ground. There will be a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground before every turn and then a progression of duct tape arrows on the ground after every turn.

*Please note all three courses following the same route. Be sure to keep an eye on your turn around point*

Run Course Rules and Regulations: 

Permitted Conduct. A participant must run or walk the entire portion of the run course. Except for reasons of safety and when no advantage is gained, all runners shall follow and remain within the prescribed course. A participant who gains forward progress by crawling or otherwise violates this Section shall be disqualified.

6.2 Knowledge of the Course. The responsibility of knowing and following the prescribed course rests with each participant.

6.3 Permitted and Illegal Equipment. Any participant who at any time wears or carries a headset, radio, headphones, personal audio device, or any other item prohibited by Section 3.4(i) shall be subject to a time penalty. A participant may carry a water bottle on the run portion of the course, provided that such container is not made of glass. Glass containers are prohibited.
