Is the swim a mass start?

No. It is a wave start. Waves will be determined by the number of athletes in each age division.

Are we starting in the water?

Yes, athletes will enter the water off the pier at Calhoun’s Restaurant.  Athletes will tread water for a very brief period of time prior to each wave start.

Where can I find a map of the race course?

Swim/Bike/Run courses are available in the course section of the web site.

Where will the aid stations be and what will be available?

Aid stations are approximately a mile apart on the run and every 10 miles on the bike. Nutrition available will be determined by Sponsor and updated accordingly.

How do I sign up?

Go to the SIGN UP tab located on the REV3 Knoxville Home Page. This will direct you to our active.com site where you can register.

When can I sign up for next year’s race?

Registration is open now!

Are there ways to enter besides general entry?

There will be a limited number of Charity spots available. Details on the program are being finalized.  If you are interested in this option, please contact LJ@rev3tri.com for further information.

What is the latest date that I can withdraw and still get a partial refund?

All withdrawal/policy information is available under the general race information tab.

Will there be relays?

Yes, refer to the active.com registration site for details

Which Age group will I race in on race day?

We follow USAT policies regarding age-group distinction. Refer to www.usatriathlon.org for details

What is the schedule of events race week?

What about parking?

There are multiple lots around World’s Fair Park which are free on weekends and highlighted on the maps/ direction page of our website.

Do we have to check in our bikes before race day?

Yes, bikes will be checked in on Saturday, May 14th between 10:00am & 7:00pm.

Are disk wheels allowed?

Yes.

Are wetsuits allowed?

Yes, in accordance with USAT wetsuit / water temperature rules. In fact, wetsuits are strongly advised.

What are the distances for the REV3 Triathlon in Knoxville?

Our feature distance race is an Olympic Distance Event consisting of a .93 mile swim, a 24.86 mile bike and a 6.21 mile run.  Our secondary event will be a Half-Rev which consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike, and a 13.1 mile run.

What roads will be closed to traffic on race day?

Refer to the website frequently for updated road closures.

Where is the main transition area located?

Athletes will exit the Tennessee River via the University Rowhouse across from Neyland Stadium, and enter one of two designated parking lots across Neyland Drive.

How can I get to World’s Fair Park from Transition?

There is a Greenway which will funnel all spectators directly to World’s Fair Park adjacent to the designated transition area
