Bike Course

Once out of the water and onto your bike you leave the former resort and plunge down a 4 mile, 475’ descent and into the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Stunning views of farm fields, mountain sides, and the Delaware River will make your time fly-bye on this gently rolling out and back ride through the heart of the Poconos. The final 12 miles of this ride will feature a few technical descents and more twists and turns as you parallel the river and come to T2 at the Historic Shawnee Inn and Country Club.

Overview:

Mid-September in the Pocono Mountains the cool mornings begin to foreshadow the impending change of seasons. Average morning lows of 50 cool our pristine spring fed pond to a seasonal average of 68. By mid day our September average temperature climbs to a perfect 70 degrees. A favorite time of year for local triathletes, Mid-September made for the perfect choice for Rev3 to make its Pocono debut. “The Pocono Mountains are proud to introduce the REV3 Triathlon Series to its 2014 calendar. We believe that REV3 brings an air of challenge, rejuvenation, family bonding and fun,” said Pocono Mountains Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Vice President David Jackson.  ”These are all of the ingredients that make the Pocono Mountains stand out as a proven leader in the outdoor adventure sports community and the principles we stand on when selecting sporting events.
