“As a destination for outdoor enthusiasts, we are thrilled the Revolution3 Triathlon is coming to Portland in 2011… Competitors will swim, bike and run through Portland’s unique setting, while those traveling to support them will find tax-free shopping and culinary options to fill their stay.”
- Jeff Miller, president and CEO, Travel Portland
HalfREV: NEW for 2012! Athletes will have 9 miles of relatively flat terrain before the first climb. You will experience a series of long climbs, technical descents, switchbacks, and breathtaking scenery with views of Mt. Hood. There is a total of 2500 feet of climbing before you get to spin your legs out on flat roads for the last 13 miles of the bike course to get ready for the run. This bike course is challenging but fair and visually spectacular.
OlympicREV: The course is flat and fast with great views of Mt. Hood while heading back towards transition.
After completing the 56 mile bike portion, athletes will run 13.1 miles along Marine Dr. and adjacent to the mighty Columbia River while taking in gorgeous views of Portland’s skyline and Mt. Hood.
