The REV3 Rush Family Relay category is a triathlon distance of:
Ages 7-99: 100-meter swim, 2.25 mile bike, and a .75 mile run
In the Family Relay you will be able to Race Saturday afternoon.
This relay is an untimed, fun event after the other relays are complete. This category meant for novice athletes or families who would like to try the course but aren’t interested in competing for awards or placing. Relays may consist of two or three people of any age and any gender. The Family Relays will run the same course as the 7 – 8 age-group (100m Swim, 3-Lap / 2.25 mile Bike, 1-lap / 0.75 mile Run).
Cost: $40 per relay
The swim will be in a 25 meter pool in the center of the raceway. Each swimmer gets their own lane for the duration of the swim (no snake swimming required). The bike will go along the track where drafting is allowed, however, it is not required. The one loop run circles the infield with the entire relay meeting at the top of the finisher chute so they run through the finish arch together as a team.
The dynamic style of this distance of racing is engaging and centered in an arena so to be spectator friendly. Once the heat exits the pool, and is onto the bike, the next heat goes off. The action will be high and the energy full throttle.
