Join us on April 9th for this ONE OF A KIND race experience that you & your friends will talk about for years to come!
Teams of 6, or 4 for Ultra Racers, cover 100-miles running the Virginia Capital Trail by tag-teaming the distance, relay style. Your team
vehicle drops off one runner at a time to take on one of the 16 legs of the race. After dropping your runner at a designated exchange
zone, the team vehicle and remaining team members drive ahead to the next exchange zone to meet the runner, exchange the timing
chip and cheer on the next runner. Each team member runs 3 legs, which range in distance from 3.5-mi to 8.5-mi. Depending on your
team’s strategy, an individual runner could run as short as 10.5-miles, as long as 24.5-miles, or anything in between. *
*New for 2022 we will allow rolling exchanges. Rolling exchanges will be allowed for all parts of the course except from EZ1 to the Finish line.
Meaning each team can pull over and find a safe place to park and exchange runners during all parts of the race except the last leg of
the race. The person that starts the last leg must be the person that finishes the race.
ALSO New for 2022 – We have opened up a SOLO 50 Mile and SOLO 50K option. Always wanted to run that far, but not a fan of dirt trails? These options will let you tackle your next distance, all while keeping you on the Capital Trail. These runners/walkers will have 18 hours and 30 minutes to complete the distance. Your course will be the same from the start, just with a MARKED TURNAROUND on the course.
A post-race party will commence with the first finishers and go until we celebrate the final finishers!
Awards will be distributed in the following categories:
• Open (Top 3 Overall 4 & 6 Person Teams)
• Mixed Relay (1st Place 4 & 6 Person Teams)
• Corporate (1st Place 4 & 6 Person Teams)
• Masters – 40+ (1st Place 4 & 6 Person Teams)
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation.
Put your team together now and get registered!

The course is almost entirely on the Capital Trail, a 50 mile paved multi-use trail that is flat and fast.
