FRIDAY, JUNE 3rd: BIKE TIME TRIAL on race car track

Welcome to REV3 New England and Webster, Massachusetts.  Webster Lake as it’s most commonly known, although its original name is Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg (meaning “You fish on your side, I’ll fish on my side, and nobody fishes in the middle.”), has a long history of triathlon.  Nestled in the heart of New England and in the corner of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts this area showcases a unique racing experience.

REV3 is delighted to have the opportunity to bring triathlon and multi-sport back to the Webster area along with some expanded offerings the venue hasn’t seen before.  Our goal is to make this an annual triathlon festival for many years to come.

Start the weekend off on Friday night with a 5 mile (3 lap) time trial on the road course of the Thompson Speedway.  On Saturday we will kick off the morning with a SprintREV followed by a kids splash & dash (contained within the park).  The weekend will conclude on Sunday with a HalfREV and OlympicREV.

Course Description

All of the swim courses will take place in beautiful Webster Lake at Memorial Beach Park.  All swims will be a beach start and finish on either side of the beach house.  Expect water temps to be in the mid-7o’s.  Each race will have a time trial start where 2-3 athletes will start approx. every 5 seconds.  Each athlete is expected to self-seed on the beach from fastest to slowest in order to have the cleanest swim.  Each swim will be counter-clockwise keeping the buoys on your left shoulder.

All of the bike courses will start and end at the transition area located at Memorial Beach Park.  Roads will be open to traffic so athletes should be aware of their surroundings at all times.  The courses will have a little bit of everything….uphills, downhills, flats, great pavement and some small sections of typical New England pavement.  In addition you have some great scenery and you won’t be bored.  Channel your inner race car driver and have some fun at the Thompson Speedway for the Olympic and Half bikes.

The run course will take off from Memorial Beach Park…….TBD

Deferrals do not carry over beyond the following year’s race. This credit only covers the race entry fee. USAT one day passes, processing fees, and online registration fees will not be included in your credit. In order to defer your registration you will need to e-mail us at Info@rev3tri.com with your Full Name, Race Venue, and Race Distance.

  1. You can defer your entry prior to March 28th for a small fee of $10 ($10 for Splash & Dash).

Athletes wishing to defer, will be provided with a unique entry code once registration opens for the following year and must re-enter the event after entries open for the following year’s event. The athlete’s entry slot is not guaranteed. Deferred athletes will not be allowed to register if the race closes before the athlete attempts to enter.  Deferred entries must be used the following year and cannot be transferred to other athletes.  If for some reason the race does not take place the following year you will have the option to choose another one of the Rev3 venues, you will NOT be refunded your entry fee from the previous year.

Our events take place rain or shine, there is no rain-date. Should there be lightning during the start, the race will be delayed until conditions are safe.
