October 10, 2011 (Muncie, In.) – What a remarkable year for Prime Inc driver Siphiwe Baleka. The 40 year-old lease operator returned to athletic competition in January after an eighteen year hiatus. Since then he has won national championships in US Masters Swimming, competed in USA Triathlon Age Group National Championships, and this past Sunday, won his final triathlon of the season at the Rev3 Series in Anderson, SC, all while driving an average of 3000 miles per week.

“Winning the Mens 40-44 Olympic distance race at the Rev3 in Anderson, SC is a great way to end my season. This was by far the most challenging course and the most fun of all the triathlons I’ve done this year. I really wanted to do this race because it is sponsored by Pilot/Flying J and I am a truckdriver and I wanted to prove that I am the Fittest Truck Driver in America,” said Baleka.

Baleka was the second swimmer in his wave to finish the .9 mile swim in 20:30 which was the fastest swim in his division and the fifth fastest swim overall. After the 25 mile bike, Baleka was in eighteenth place and a 43:13 10k (6 miles at 6:56 pace) moved him into sixteenth place overall at the finish and first place in his age group.

“I had a very good swim and the bike course was very hard. There were eleven climbs and 1,096 feet of elevation. I was a little disappointed with my run but overall it was a good race. I knew I was winning my age group and I just wanted to finish strong and get that top spot on the podium,” Baleka said. “Now I am going to take some time off from training, finish my lease with Prime, and get ready to launch Fitness Trucking full time and then start training for Ironman South Africa next April.”
