Jan 2nd, 2013 – Revolution3 Triathlon is excited to announce they are bringing their acclaimed race series to Branson, Missouri.  On September 22, 2013, Revolution3 will hold Half and Olympic distance races, including a Pro race with a $50,000 prize purse.

Both races will start in crystal clear Lake Table Rock, with the Half distance athletes completing a 1.2 mile swim, while Olympic distance athletes will complete a 1500 meter swim. Competitors will then move onto a closed-road bike course along scenic highways with breathtaking mountain views. The challenging course features many technical ascents and descents, and will take Half and Olympic distance athletes a total of 56 miles and 25 miles, respectively. The run course will wind competitors through historic downtown Branson, completed with two loops for the 13.1 mile Half distance and one loop for the 6.2 mile Olympic distance.

“We’re very happy to add Branson to our race schedule. Branson is a great location to host athletes and families alike, and we’re excited to offer such a challenging and technical course,” said Eric Opdyke, race director for Rev3.

The entire course features many prime viewing locations for spectators for all legs of the race, making this is a perfect event for family and friends to experience the race along with the athletes they’re supporting. Branson, Missouri is home to a renowned theatre district, and also boasts many family friendly activities. Area attractions include: The Branson Landing features 120-foot water geysers and fire cannons blasting, all choreographed to light and music; the Titanic Museum, Silver Dollar City roller coasters and water rides including the Branson Belle boat cruise, a 40-mile roundtrip scenic train ride thru the Ozark foothills; the Ripley’s Odditorium;  musical and comedic shows;   outdoor activities on the water – and much more – geared for all ages.

“We’re excited to have Rev3 and their outstanding athletes come to Branson this September. Our scenic 70.3 mile HalfREV course will be a challenging test for all participants, plus they’ll get to experience all the entertainment and attractions that Branson has to offer,”
